If you choose this option, we offer a wide range of 100% customisable proposals. You can choose your departure date, trip or stay duration, accommodation category, and add extensions or details that will make your trip a memorable experience.
Trips where we can focus on your travel preferences: adventure, comfort, wildlife, luxury, trekking, active travel, ethnic travel…
Madagascar, Mauritius, Rodrigues, Reunion, Seychelles… our extensive knowledge of the ‘Îles Vanille’ will allow us to create your ideal trip together with you.
In an increasingly individualistic world, scenes like these are invaluable. Over the years, we have learned that the best moments of a trip are always linked to experiences involving people.
Our group trips start on a specific day of the week. The itinerary is pre-planned and includes specific accommodation for all travellers in the group. Places are guaranteed and everything is ready, all that’s missing is you.
These are our ‘signature trips’, iconic routes that stole our hearts and that we want to share year after year with travellers like you, who want to visit remote or difficult-to-reach areas that involve a degree of ‘adventure’, in some cases foregoing comfort.
These trips are not for everyone, as they require a reasonable level of physical fitness, a spirit of sacrifice and the ability to adapt in order to overcome difficulties.
If you share our travel philosophy, any of these trips is for you.
If you don’t have much time, we recommend lowering your expectations :). Madagascar is the fourth largest island in the world and the journeys are extremely long. The Lemurs & Whales or Lemurs & Baobabs combinations are ideal for whetting your appetite in a destination as immense as it is spectacular.
However, the islands of Mauritius, Rodrigues, Reunion and Seychelles are suitable destinations for a short getaway due to their small size.
If you want an exceptional trip but categorically refuse to lie under a coconut tree :), choosing Madagascar is an excellent way to find balance and fulfil each of your dreams, as you can combine activities such as visiting its national parks in search of lemurs with idyllic beaches.
On any of the Indian Ocean islands, you can lie back in a hammock and enjoy the pleasure of ‘dolce far niente’ in unforgettable settings where you can write a new chapter in your love story.
Buddymoon or latermoon… if you want us to hit the mark and help you design your dream trip, you couldn’t be in better hands.
Travelling to Madagascar to relax is not what we would recommend at Indigo Be, but it is ideal to combine any route with a few days of rest or activities on one of the countless idyllic beaches surrounding the island.
Watching humpback whales in Sainte Marie, diving in Nosy Tsarabanjina or trekking on the Masoala Peninsula are experiences we can help you plan. There are thousands of kilometres of coastline to suit all tastes.
Seychelles, Mauritius and Rodrigues are the perfect end to any trip to Madagascar or Réunion.

They are not just luxury trips, they are… a luxury in travel. When we seek travel experiences that are unique and truly transformative in our lives, one of the best tools is the exclusivity offered by first-class service.
Engaging in unforgettable activities in the most spectacular locations, staying in the most unlikely places, or meeting the right people who will enrich our experience are special creations of our ‘Secrets by Indigo Be’ team.
Reaching the most remote areas of the island requires a minimum of sacrifice, but the reward is always unforgettable. Exploring hidden treasures is the priority on our adventure trips.
Cross the island from west to east on a fascinating road trip, visit the last animist villages, travel through the eastern jungles on the last passenger train, navigate the waters of the Tsiribihina River, reach the summit of the tsingys or the crater of the Piton de la Fournaise volcano… Your adventure begins here.
To go further, you have to go on foot. And often, seeing the world from above makes all the difference. Climbing mountains in the Andringitra or Marojejy ranges, living with animist tribes in Zafimaniry Country, exploring the lush Masoala forest, or penetrating the canyons of the unknown Makay massif are experiences that can only be experienced on foot.
Not to mention Reunion Island, the most trekking destination in the Indian Ocean: climb the Piton de Neiges, explore the Mafate cirque, or explore the Piton de la Fournaise volcano.
Now more than ever, the human factor determines our journey. A melting pot of ethnicities and cultures, the island of Madagascar allows us to meet more than 18 different ethnic groups with distinct racial origins. People of Indo-Malay origin, Bantu ethnic groups from Africa, Swahili navigators…
Although all our trips have a strong ethnic component, these routes will bring you closer to what truly matters: having unique and endearing encounters that will remain forever in our memories.
Our comfort trips encompass the most classic routes or those with infrastructure that allows for a more comfortable trip without sacrificing access to the best national parks and reserves.
These trips offer a more thoughtful, special, and unique experience, tailored to our expectations. The customization of your trip will allow you to see places in a different way, more in line with your travel preferences and needs.
Madagascar is one of the 17 megadiverse countries on the planet. Over the last decade, scientists have discovered 615 new species. The island is home to 5% of the world’s flora and fauna. A rate of over 80% endemism (six species of baobabs, 113 species of lemurs, 1,200 species of orchids, etc.), combined with the diversity of existing habitats—tropical rainforest, mountains, savannah, wetlands, and dry forest—make Madagascar an exceptional destination for wildlife lovers.
Obviously, all our tours include visits to national parks, but we have some suggestions focused entirely on exploring our nature and biodiversity.
The Indian Ocean boasts some of the best beaches on the planet. Madagascar, with the Mitsio and Radames archipelagos, comprised of paradisiacal islands like Nosy Iranja, Nosy Be, Nosy Sakatia, Nosy Tanikely, Nosy Mitsio, and Nosy Komba…which we’ll sail on a catamaran or traditional schooner; deserted beaches like Salary, Ambatomilo, Andavadoaka, Anakao, and Ambola… islands of pirates and corsairs like Sainte Marie and Masoala, refuges for whales and dolphins…
Mauritius, Rodrigues, Seychelles, and Reunion…turquoise waters and snowy sands that seem like something out of a dream.
All trips to Madagascar are active because nature safaris are always carried out on foot, unlike the rest of the continent. But on our Active Travel trips, sports take center stage. Cycling, scuba diving, kitesurfing, surfing, canyoning, paragliding… Combining visits to certain areas with our favorite sport is the key element of this type of active travel.
Trekking trips are not included because we believe that hiking trips deserve a section of their own.
